Oracle 9i DBA OCA

 

Oracle’s 9i OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) DBA (Database Administrator) certification is for “apprentice skill level” IT professionals who have “have a foundation of knowledge that will allow them to act as a junior team member working with database administrators or application developers.” The Oracle 9i OCA was introduced in late 2001 and will likely stay very popular until the arrival of the Oracle 10G certification. There is no specific prerequisite for this certification;

 

Oracle 9i DBA OCP

 

Oracle’s 9i OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) DBA (Database Administrator) certification is a mid-level certification for IT professionals who manage large-scale databases or develop applications that are used enterprise-wide. The Oracle 9i OCP was introduced in late 2001 and will likely stay very popular until the arrival of the Oracle 10G certification. There is no specific prerequisite for this certification;

 

Oracle 9i OCM

 

Oracle’s 9i OCM (Oracle Certified Master) DBA (Database Administrator) certification is an advanced-level certification that is “targeted toward Oracle9i DBA OCPs with 3 - 4 years of professional Oracle experience”. The Oracle 9i OCM was introduced in late 2001. The prerequisite for this certification is holding an OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) certification.
